‍About Fuze

‍Moving value instantly is possible.

Fuze is a global digital asset infrastructure group building the regulated rails that move stablecoins, digital assets and payments across some of the fastest-growing corridors in the world. Banks, fintechs and enterprises use our APIs to launch compliant digital asset products without building the licensing, custody and compliance stack themselves.

Our platform spans payments and wealth: stablecoin orchestration, cross-border payments with 24/7 settlement, a crypto payment gateway, embedded trading and collateralised lending, and an institutional OTC desk.

We've processed over $20B and we're just getting started. With teams across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Istanbul, Switzerland, Canada, the US, and more to come, we are backed by leading global investors.

Fuze is scaling into one of the defining infrastructure players in digital assets, and this is the moment to join - your call.

The Role at a Glance:

Location: New York City or Miami (Hybrid)

Reports to: President and General Manager, Fuze, N.A. (bank matters), with a functional line to Group CISO / Group security leadership.

‍

Role Overview

Fuze is building a regulated digital asset business across North and Latin America, anchored by Fuze, N.A., a de novo national trust bank in organization with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

This role owns the bank-grade security and compliance posture Fuze, N.A. needs to clear charter approval, pass its pre-opening examination, and operate as a supervised institution — and lead the regional enterprise information security program for Fuze's North and Latin America commercial operations in partnership with Group security.

This is a build role first and a steady-state leadership role second. You will stand up the governance framework, the policy stack, the examiner relationship, and the team, while also representing Fuze's security posture to partners and clients as the business grows across the region.

‍

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the information security program across Fuze's USA, Canada, and Latin America operations, implementing and localizing Fuze Global's security standards and owning the bank-specific program end-to-end.
  • Own the security architecture for the Bank's digital-asset custody and settlement, including key management, wallet and signing infrastructure, segregation of client assets, and secure operations for a platform that settles around the clock, in coordination with the Head of Trust and Chief Risk Officer.
  • Lead security and control readiness for Fuze, N.A.'s OCC charter approval and pre-opening examination, including FFIEC IT Examination Handbook and Heightened Standards requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for OCC, FFIEC, and other regulator examinations, owning the examiner-ready narrative and coordinating supporting evidence.
  • Build the team: hire and develop the security and governance, risk, and compliance function needed across the region as the business scales.
  • Own the governance framework: policies, standards, and risk management processes, including board ratification cycles for Fuze, N.A.
  • Lead certification efforts, including ISO 27001, SOC 2, and related frameworks, acting as executive owner for external audits and assessments.
  • Partner with engineering, product, legal, and operations to embed security requirements into technical and commercial workflows.
  • Own incident response governance and business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including regular tabletop exercises with senior leadership.
  • Manage third-party and vendor risk for critical service providers and material outsourcing arrangements.
  • Brief executive leadership and the Fuze, N.A. Board of Directors on risk posture, metrics, and strategy.
  • Represent Fuze's security posture externally to regulators, sponsor/partner banks, and institutional clients across the US, Canada, and Latin America, including security due-diligence for partnership and sponsorship arrangements.

What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years of information security experience, including time as a CISO, Deputy CISO, or senior security leader with direct ownership of a security program (not solely operating within one).
  • Direct experience standing up or defending security controls at a regulated bank or trust institution; de novo charter or pre-opening experience strongly valued.
  • Genuine comfort operating hands-on, without established infrastructure, through charter and pre-opening.
  • Deep fluency in FFIEC standards and OCC expectations.
  • Direct experience defending controls to a federal banking examiner.
  • Experience building or scaling security programs at a fast-growing fintech, payments, or digital asset company.
  • Strong financial-services grounding in risk governance, SOC 2, ISO 27001/27002, and related control frameworks.
  • Executive presence, with the ability to translate technical risk into terms a board, regulator, or commercial partner can act on.

‍Strong preferences

  • A background in payments, stablecoins, digital assets, or financial infrastructure.
  • Experience operating across US, Canadian, and Latin American regulatory environments.
  • Prior service as CISO or Deputy CISO at a national bank, trust bank, or comparable regulated institution.
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or comparable).

Success Metrics

  • Fuze, N.A. clears its OCC pre-opening examination with a supervisory-grade security program already operating as a standing posture, not a one-time push.
  • A security and GRC team built out and embedded across the region's commercial and bank operations.
  • A clean first-year examination and audit cycle, with governance, reporting, and board cadences fully in place.
